“Mr Benson… I’m sorry the test came out positive and you need to come see me as soon as possible” The caller says to Benson and hang up. Benson slump against the soft leather of his seat and weep silently until a rapt knock steer him back to the present.
He quickly wipe his tears on the hem of his agbada. He opens the door to step out and come face to face with his gatekeeper.
“Oga.. I dey notice seh u no comot for your car since u don enter, na why I con check u”
“Oh Abu… I’m fine. You can go back to your duty” he replies quickly as he turns to pick his briefcase but Abu (the gatekeeper) pesters him again with a concern face.
“Oga as I dey look you, your face no get joy. You sure seh u dey ok?
“No vex oga” Abu apologize and watch as his boss walks into the main house with head in downcast. Abu shakes his head as he moves back to his post. He thinks there’s something going on in the big house and his oga is not doing well with it. he continues too think about his boss earlier response and compare to other days before everything turned sour. “Abi no be Oga Ben. The money bag. The man wey always dey happy when he see me?”
“So rich man sabi dey cry” Abu concludes as he goes about his check rally.
