FROM FRAGRANCE TO FIRE (PART 1 FINALE)
My two close friends, that know my story like the back of their flanked sides as I explained the story behind the burnt smell and I watched them keeled over with laughter until I started pinching them to get their serious side. I had only allow them to have their fill because we hardly have what keel us over often, so at my own expense, I gave them the moment but since I knew why they had streamed into my apartment from theirs that’s about a kilometer away, I did what kills the laugh faster-a pinch to their inner arms.
The fairest of them started by asking if I had heard the latest, I replied with a nod while the other one ask what is the next line of action. Well, even me was about to ask myself before they came in and at that, we had to brainstorm and weather it through together. That is what family do except my biological family has left me to do that but God has blessed me with this people- my two friends and the family friend as family.
When we started to brainstorm through the options available, we examined the good, bad, ugly and beautiful. We concluded to keep our job at Auntie’s place as we often call the family friend of my adopted family that left for abroad but didn’t leave me stranded for which I am grateful. What a nice sentiment me and my friends had as we worked for the same person and the pay was good that we could have saved enough to start our own business but that didn’t come to mind then.
We accepted the option that we even could make money during that one month break. The fragrance of that decision carried me into the strike month and out as everyone ears was glued to the news to catch anything about the strike. That was when the third fragrance turned to FIRE.
“ASUU SHUNS THE FG, ADDS EIGHT (8) WEEKS TO THE JUST CONCLUDED STRIKE… the ASUU has …”

it was only the headline that jump right at me as I head home from campus. I didn’t know if I should cry or not because I can already see myself starting my project those weeks but now I don’t think it is visible as ASUU and FG has decided to turn my university education into asun to firerized my wonderful plans.
At this day, I concluded that it was not only Dunsin Oyekan’s song that has vaporized from fragrance to fire but education in this country as the ogas at the top has set us ablaze. With is fire on the mountain, can anyone get away from it? Nobody seem to be running. This FRAGRANCE OF A MONTH STRIKE HAS FIRERIZED TO 8WEEKS! HOW?!

Lol
It’s both funny and relatable. I enjoyed every bit of it.
Keep it up,dear 🥰
