Flash Fiction Entry 002

Entry Name:

Writer: Nwogo Joy Nkechi

It was our final year and our cultural night was supposed to be the last cultural before graduation.

Dress in any traditional wear of your choice, and make sure you know wear it is originated from. The proprietress echoed to us all.

I could dress like some Yoruba models you know. I don’t want to look too casual on that day and I would want to look different from others.
I said, admiring myself through the standing mirror in my room.

I want to call oh dezzy to tell us where her attire was originated from.
I came out smiling and shy at the same time.

Well, my traditional wear was inspired by a paint frame in *comfy book club.*

Everyone laughed, but I am happy I could stand out among them all.😁😁.
