SOULMATES

Project 1 by Olaoluwa Oluwafunmilayo

Prologue

“Give us a chance!

We can work this out” I tried cajoling him again even as the rain kept drenching us.

He kept mute like he has been for the last five minutes. I made a move to grab his arm, but he jerked away from me as if my touch burned.

“Alex” I called out to him again, more softly this time with every bit of emotion I felt for him.

“No, Bella… it can’t work out…we will never work out” he finally said, and he sounded so broken.

All I wanted to do right now was to wrap myself around him, get lost in his embrace and forget about everything around us.
I made a move to get closer to him again, but he said one word in a tone of finality that had me rooted to the spot where I was “Don’t!”

With that he turned around and left me standing there in the rain.

About the Character

Isabella Briggs is hell bent on blaming herself for mother’s death. She became a shadow of former self as a result of this.

The nature of her dad’s job creates a turn of events as they had to relocate to New York city.

What will become of Isabella in New York? Will she gain her former life back? Free herself from the guilt of her mother’s death?

Alexander Leman is your typical bad boy on the outside. He portrays an aura of mystery around him as no one seems to know his background story.
Will the mystery that surrounds Alex be discovered?

Find out what life has in store for this two when their paths cross in SOULMATES!
