“Mr Benson… I’m sorry the test came out positive and you need to come see me as soon as possible” The caller says to Benson and hang up. Benson slump against the soft leather of his seat and weep silently until a rapt knock steer him back to the present.
He quickly wipe his tears on the hem of his agbada. He opens the door to step out and come face to face with his gatekeeper.
“Oga.. I dey notice seh u no comot for your car since u don enter, na why I con check u”
“Oh Abu… I’m fine. You can go back to your duty” he replies quickly as he turns to pick his briefcase but Abu (the gatekeeper) pesters him again with a concern face.
“Oga as I dey look you, your face no get joy. You sure seh u dey ok?
“No vex oga” Abu apologize and watch as his boss walks into the main house with head in downcast. Abu shakes his head as he moves back to his post. He thinks there’s something going on in the big house and his oga is not doing well with it. he continues too think about his boss earlier response and compare to other days before everything turned sour. “Abi no be Oga Ben. The money bag. The man wey always dey happy when he see me?”
“So rich man sabi dey cry” Abu concludes as he goes about his check rally.

“Baba agbalagba! E sha wa lowo yi. Owo wa lowo yin, e na wa lowo!” [“Boss of life! Twale! Money dey ya hand, drop something for the boys na!”]
The rowdies on BENSON Street start chanting their usual song as they see him drives down to his mansion. They hail and block his path. He stop and shakes his head at them in amusement with a small smile on his face as he pressed down on a button in his posh SUV to put down his window and pay them the attention they want in wads of mint notes.
BEN is the generous type of multi-billionaire with big and expensive designer agbada. Though he tried looking for a very secluded part of the rich men estate but still these boys always find their way to him, they seem to be everywhere. He has even tried helping some of them but they seem to enjoy their rowdiness than hard work.
So all he does now is to throw money down to them and watch as they scamper to grab every worthy note. To him these boys can be useful when needed, so in this way he pays them in advance for any future emergencies.
Unfortunately, the constant fact that he couldn’t father a child with any of his numerous wives is baffling. Mind you, those women sometimes warm their way to his bed just for the money and he, in exchange for a son at least. But everything seems to be against him except his money
He drives into his big compound that looks like a garden park on the street of New York. He reach for his briefcase and turns off the engine of his black heavily tinted Rolls Royce. He sighs heavily for the millionth time in that day before he opens the door and throws one leg out. In this process, His phone went off ringing out his favorite song (🤓i know u want to know).
Side note: I would like to know what kind of songs rich people listen to?
comfort’ curiosity
He picked the call and got another shocking news😱…….
It says every single person in your life is a mirror that reflects a side of you not known to you..
Does that sound scary?
When you’re told that if you look at me, you might see yourself but in another facet…it sound creepy and eerily enough that it might fiddle with your brain but it’s not a myth!
Thank God you’re not fainting on me yet. But before you dismiss this, you need to know how it is possible for you to see a reflection in me when you see me.
The answer is – EMOTIONS
Your emotions are the mirror of behavioral reflections that tells how well or bad you take anything done to you. In other words, the emotions you displayed is reflected on the reactions of the other person and in a way tells what kind of person you are at the given time.
THE QUALITIES/BEHAVIOR you see in others and fight against or love and own is just a replica of who you are!
I keep saying this but you still don’t get it..do you?🤔
The basic emotions- Anger, Joy, Love and Hate are the mirrors of what you do to others and what others do to you.
A colleague did to you something awful, you’re angry and you yelled at them but they don’t charge back at you… Well dear that’s just a reflection of who you are to them…
When you stand I’m front of a mirror and yell at it and hit it, what does it do or what do you see? That’s it! Now you get it! YOU ONLY SEE YOURSELF AND THAT IMAGE YELLING AT THE MIRROR STARING RIGHT BACK AT YOU IS YOU AND NO OTHER PERSON.
You cant be a better person if you don’t pay attention to the mirror rule, it means you have let the emotions decide who you are, neglecting the fact that after you leave the mirror stand, your behaviors remain with you. If you want to be a better person, check reactions to your words on people and you will see who you are.
And when you do, what do you see and what do you do?
If what you see is not right, change and check back to see WHAT THE MIRROR SAYS ABOUT YOU. Remember, mirrors don’t tell lie!

Have you heard of a name in an language aside from your mother tongue and you wish to know how suiting the name could be?
I love languages, this I can’t overemphasize as I often mention it anytime I talk on similar topics but what fascinate me even more, is names from these foreign languages.
Photo provided by pexels
I don’t know why I love or get entranced by the names but the sound of these names actually prompt me to want to write about personality of some Yoruba names. You might have come across names and their meaning on social media but it is quite different to know what name speak about a specific personality.
In this blog post, I’ll be sharing few names and their suiting personality. Should in case you need a name for you cute little ones or you are thinking of adopting names, think well on these Yoruba names from Nigeria.
Yorùbá is an ethnic group and a culture in Nigeria which is also a language spoken in about 8 states in the country. I’m a Nigeria and a Yoruba indigene, so my scope will be limited to Yoruba in Nigeria since Yoruba has spread its tentacles to some countries other than Nigeria. Meanwhile, I would like to introduce myself to you as I’ll be mentioning one of my middle name in these Yoruba names. I’m popularly known as Comfort aka comfyflex among friends but not many people know my Yoruba name.
Yoruba Names and their personalities Fun fact about Yoruba name is that as cute as they are when spoken, the translation can form a sentence. Yoruba parents put a lot of thought in child naming because they believe the name of such child can tell more about the child which has a term called personality. Here are few names I have come to know and study the varying personalities among bearers of such name in Nigeria.
1. Oluwafunmilayo – Translation in English: God gave me Joy. Popularly know to be feminine but it’s a unisex name. No doubt about people who bears the name, they are witty, friendly, dependable, always ready with a smile for everyone. They are creative and tend to be more influenced by their intuition and can be deductive in their thinking. They always get heartbroken easily and tend to hide their sadness behind a smile. Sometimes, they are enigmatic.
2. Ayoola English translation: The Joy of Wealth A unisex name often used as surnames in some compound names. Ayoola is a bit shy but smart and very committed at what they set their heart to do. They often are closed book, not easily open to people but are good advisor.
3. Abosede English Translation: Come with the week. They are born on Sundays and are called that because they are believed to have ushered in a new week and this only add more to the positive highlight of the name. They have nice aura but a sense of uncertainty about them. They love and enjoy new things and are friendly. Just like how we love Sundays, they are very loveable.
Oluwadamilola English Translation: God endowed me with wealth. Unisex but more beautiful for females. Ha-ha-ha Everything good seem to be in their care and possession. They are troublesome but independent and determined. They love luxury and night life. They are the party life and often known as the vibe.
In a nutshell, I’ll share other characters of these names and some other names. (Spoiler alert: some can be downward)
1. Ayoola – even though they can be all that’s mentioned above, they are also; nasty and arrogant. 2. Abosede: Industrious, outspoken 3. Moremi: Brilliant, beautiful, sacrificial 4. Oluwadamilola: Funny, cool, respectful, intelligent 5. Oluwafunmilayo: gentle, quiet 6. Omotoyosi: Outspoken, beautiful, unfriendly 7. Omolola: Smart, talkative 8. Damilare: Extravagant, honest, creative 9. Adesewa: beautiful, caring, aloof 10. Oluwasegun: blunt, outspoken, stubborn, workaholic.
Why would it be necessary for you to have endurance?
Endurance in the dictionary means the measure of a person’s stamina or persistence. Ability to endure hardship and stress. It also means a state of surviving.
Endurance is needed because without it, our problems and trials would have ended our lives. Endurance shows how long we can stand the times of trial. Biblically speaking, we can rejoice anytime we encounter a problem or face trials, it is from this we learn to endure. (Romans chapter 5:2-3) We don’t see the time of trials and problems as good times, but it is important we know that these times aren’t useless in our lives. It is that time we learn endurance.
The 6 Reasons why you need Endurance
1. Endurance develops strength for you in time of problems and trials.
2. Endurance is persevering in times and in the face of trial. When trouble comes, endurance ensures you don’t wallow in your sorrow but always praise God.
3.Endurance makes us see good in any problem we encounter, and this is where the strength comes from in our character. We are supposed to learn from our mistakes, and when we do, we become stronger.
4. Another version of Romans 5:4 (AMP) says that endurance, also known as fortitude is, and it develops the maturity of our character. This can’t be far from the truth as I have experienced it myself, and here our elders boast of experience because endurance has developed their maturity over time in the face of the problems and trials they face.
5. Endurances also bring God’s approval. It shows you aren’t a weakling that would go into hiding anytime you see a problem.
6. Another version of that same verse says endurance produces character. Not just any character but a good and strong one. Endurance does a lot of things in the life of a Christian.
Rewards of Endurance – what will endurance do to your character?
Your character becomes hopeful, and hope is the spine in our faith.
Your character has God’s approval, which gives us hope in Christ.
Your character becomes more confident and joyful. No more selfish or humanistic character in you. God takes control through your endurance which has given his approval.
You have the hope of eternal salvation.
You have an expectation of salvation.
Your expectations will not fail because God loves us and has given us the holy spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Day 6 -30days content creation challenge. In yesterday’s content, I mentioned something similar to this story in Never be ashamed of these things and I never knew this is what I would be sharing today.
An excerpt from my memoir titled, “Behind The Veil”
I graduated from Federal Government Girls college, Sagamu, in August 2013 as a satisfied average student.
There is no parent who wants an average performer. I was satisfied on a note that I didn’t come home with a pass or fail on the other dread my parents reaction to my performance.
My parent didn’t see any good in coming home without an award or achievement. They had expected better and when I didn’t surprise them with an awesome certificate, their manner became resentful and bitter towards me.
I wrote JAMB the year after because my parents were financially constrained to get me the JAMB form. I stayed at home, reading and preparing hard for the examination. No tutors, no friends and the processing was challenging as I have not done something of such before and I had no one to put me through.
I wrote the examination on the appointed day and the awaited result came two days after. My heart was in my mouth as I checked through the screen of the computer at the Cyber cafe where I had gone to check, skipping through the irrelevant information to discover my scores out of the junks of words on the screen.
Disappointment awash me when my eyes finally catch on my scores. It was not encouraging at all, to stare at the total score of 183 in my first jamb. I have not only disappointed myself but my parents won’t be happy about the result.
My shoulder slumped forward as I stare aimlessly at the cracked well-trodden floor of the cafe. Few minutes later, I asked the computer operator to print two copies of the result.
My first book – Behind The Veil is a memoir about depression, resilience and breakthrough. Get my book Here
Hola… Welcome to day 4 of my 30days content creation challenge. God’s strength keeps me going.
Today’s topic is not to introduce to put a PONZI scheme but a FREE Class! Yah.. you read that right! A FREE Class with no cost of entry also, but before I tell y’all how to get free entry to it, I have to answer the questions you might have pondering your mind.
Just as the topic has asked, would you ever spend a dollar, hundred of it or even thousand on a book?
Knowing how books has been an all- time and well known warehouse of information and principles, how many of those said books have you spent a fortune to get? Moreover, I have spent a good fortune to get books and sometimes, I’m lucky enough to get free books from friends, coaches, mentors and book clubs.
Some will say, “What’s fun is it to read books. They are boring and verbose. I got no time” It’s just sad that not many people know that the successful people were once like you and one day they stumbled on that book that changed their lives.
No wealthy man or successful people would ever tell you they don’t like to read books. Even when reading becomes boring, they remember their low beginning and get reading again!
